reminds me of a great analogous story:

guy #1: "what are the people like in idaho?"

guy #2: "what do you think of the people in your home town?"

guy #1: "they're selfish, inconsiderate, and rude."

guy #2: "then you'd probably think the folks in idaho are selfish, inconsiderate, and rude."

I've been either a coach or parent in probably 75 tournaments. never been to a bad one because I CHOOSE to make them all a good experience for me and my girls.

So maybe "Worst" was not the appropriate word to use, that I will agree. However, there should be a place where people can recommend which tournaments to avoid and why. If there was one heading with this concept, Coaches wouldn't have to search through multiple listings. How about a ranking system just like a coaches poll to see which are the most popular down to the least favored? The original post was not targerted towards any tournament or TD so no need to defend anyone in particular. I have personally left reviews on the tournaments but to have a place where you can get a bigger picture of multiple places in one thread would be nice. It might even make the TD's of the lesser liked tourney's step up their game and get better as well. It's so politically correct for all the support against this topic, I do not think sugar coating solves the problem, only masks the issue. Let's be real people, a tournament is either great or crap.

This forum is not the place for these vile, untrue, and slanderous accusations!

I agree, having a tournament review system (Softball Tournament Talk) on the forum is all that really needed. The concept of posting your review should help everyone. Should help (TD) see problems to work on and area of weakness that they may not be aware of. In the long run it should make a better event for everyone.

The Review section can be like "TripAdvisor" or "Google" reviews. The thread name is the tournament and the threads are comments, good or bad. Let the consumer decide whether the tournament is worth entering, not the poster.

Maybe even start each thread with 1-4 Smiley faces :):):) or even an angry face:mad:. (Can't do 5 Smileys because we are only allowed a maximum of 4 images per post.)

Rule #1 to Constructive Criticism, Don't bitch about something unless you have a workable solution.

Is there a Tournament Rating or Review Forum? ..... I cannot find it on here.
PGF Midwest Firecracker tournament was at an AMAZING complex (Grand Park) but think having too many teams put a lot of teams at a separate location where zero college coaches attended, fields were nowhere same quality as Grand Park .... the grounds crews did do a nice job with what they had to work with. Highly recommend Grand Park if you ever get to go there .... I see it being a future Nationals Site.
