I Wander Why:
-people call baseball the great american sport(that should be softball)
-stuff at tournaments cost so much
-what the ump says goes
-they call a softball a softball when its not really soft
-there is the infield fly rule(usually a player will catch the ball in the infield)
-there is rain when you really want to play softball
-some players shake hands hard and hurt people because their team lost

...why some are called coach yet they just yell and expect you to get better on your own
...why a wlaking taco doesn't have legs
...why baseball wears pants and softball wears shorts
...why I can see the strike zone better than that guy standing behing the catcher
...how the rest of you explain to your kids that church is important......just not from April to August

same here but maybe there should be aan ump behind the plate, behind the pitcher( in between the mound and 2nd base) and maybe an ump moving around the bases to watch the plays and stuff

Why everyone says "I could care less"....if you could care less that means you have to care (in order to be able to do it less) IT SHOULD BE.."I couldn't care less".....and.......why does everyone say "a word to the wise"..if YOU know something that the other person doesn't know...aren't YOU the wise one and not them ????

I wonder why baseball is the national past time, when softball is a much faster and exciting game. :-? I played baseball for 15 years and can't even watch it anymore. :-/

Amen - I was beginning to think I was the only one in the world who noticed that! Finally, a kindred spirit!

<Begin pet peeves>How about when someone says "You should go up there and try and get a hit"? Shouldn't it be "...try TO get a hit"? And when did we get a "mound" in softball?? I think "Cat Osterman in the circle" makes more sense than "Cat Osterman on the mound".<end pet peeves>
