This should be a fun event to end the middle school season. We have had a few "verbal commitments" to date. Don't delay, we anticipate filling the 24 team field pretty quick after the holidays. Contact Dan for questions.

Bucket, we dont have enough girls for both 7th and 8th grade teams so we would have to 8th grade correct?
thanks

That would be correct. If a team has any 8th grade players they would fall into the 8th grade classification.

Thanks Go 2 for answering...been away from the pc for a couple days. Anyhow, that's right "combo teams" would play up as an 8th grade team.

just wondering if anyone is actually having any luck getting middle school teams to sign up to play- I think it is a great idea , but wasn't sure if the cost and timing would be a factor.

makdaddy - do you have a league in your area that would allow outside teams to enter, regardless of the distance?

The biggest question so far has been how we will determine a 7th or 8th grade or combined team. If you have 1 - 8th grader on your team, you will be considered an 8th grade team. All players will be required to bring there last grade card from there school they are playing for, this will insure we don't have any travel teams trying to sneak in. I need to have all teams payed before March 31th so I have time for our own season. Hope this answers all the question.:yahoo:

MAKDADDY

According to the web site there are no rules - so a team may have players from several different schools. Teams do not have to be from the same school so why would your qualifier be any different?

Op,

I'll answer for Makdaddy until he gets back on-line. He can add anthing I miss.

This is our own tournament we are putting on for a end of the season tournament. We set the rules for our tourney, and all players must attend the same school. We wanted to hold the tourney as early as possible since travel ball will kick in May. It is not affiliated with any other JH/MS tournament being put on. It is not a qualifier for another tournament. We do not have a league in our area. Most of the MVL schools have club programs and each one schedule teams on there own. There is no league to enter or win. We just thought it would be nice to provide a tournament at the end of the season for teams to compete in.

If you have a team that wishes to enter, please call me, and we can discuss any rules that you mght be questioning. My number is on the original post.

I have 16 teams so far. I am extending registration thru Arpil 15. Due to limited field space, we can only take 24 teams. Do not wait if you want in.

I would still like to get more 7th grade teams, so here is what I'm going to do. If your school sent both a 7th and 8th grade team, I will discount the 7th grade team 1/2 price. Yea, 2 teams for $300.00. First come first served. Only-24 teams period. So don't wait.:yahoo:
