Another question for Bretman

I posted about the OSU play in another thread, but no one really commented on it. I would love to hear the explanation as to why the runner was allowed to take third base. Not only hadn't she reached third at the time of the interference, she was still just a couple of steps off second, not having started to advance until she saw that the play was being made at home.

All I can think is that they just totally blew this one. What makes it worse is that with a three-umpire crew you had more umpires than there were runners on this play. I guess they were all busy watching home plate like everybody else!
