Anyone else have to watch BTN studentU games with the volume down?

Am I the only one who does this? How do they select the commentators for these? I understand they are broadcast majors who attend the host schools, but maybe an interview to find out if they have ever seen a softball game before wouldn't be a bad idea.

Sometimes I feel like they would be better off putting nails on a chalk board on a loop in between commercials.

So... You are telling me there are worse than Michelle Smith doing commentary?
She's a very nice lady but dang I cant stand to listen to her - I think the commentary is the bigest diservice the game gets -

Oh, you think the commentary just all around sucks?

I don't.

I love it when they get some pro baseball player in the booth and they start wondering out loud "When are they going to start intentionally hitting batters to send a message??"

I don't mind the game the network puts on. Those are pros who are being paid. It's at least ok.

The ones that say "studentU" in the corner are ok sometimes, sometimes it sounds like they grabbed the first 2 people they saw walking by, checked for a pulse, and put them in the booth.

That said, it's still nice to get to watch the games.

I agree with that, We bought Roku for the most part just to see games - I found myself watching a YSU vs Cleaveland State game that looked like they borrowed someones go-pro and just mounted it to the fence but I still watched.
