I recommend the turbo slot batting gloves by Easton. With the padding they have they help the girls hold the bat correctly. On top of that they are very durable and have lasted my DD all season and they still are in great shape.

My DD will only use the TS gloves.....found this year that the "female" version (the white ones) did not hold up well....went through 3 pair from Mar-Aug.....have gotten a new pair of the black "standard" models in again....she has since built up some callouses, and hasn't been using them much, though....good to have them in the bag, just in case.

I agree with the Turboslot recommendation. They promote a good grip on the bat.

As far as the gloves wearing out I'd say that was a good thing. ;)

Easton turboslots for sure. They hold up well and my daughter loves hers.

All my DD's use turbo slots. Going into 2nd season of them and holding up great. They like the extra padding in the web between thumb and first finger. Really nice.

My DD uses the turbo slot gloves, not the white ones, she goes through about 3 pairs a year. Wears a hole out in the thumb. She likes them so it is just part of the package deal of playing softball. If anyone knows where you can get them at a good price I would love to know.

I bought a pair of the turboslot gloves from ebay.

DD favorite batting gloves are the Akadema ones --her first pair she received in a raffle at a clinic and they last the longest and are her favorite. They do cost more but they don't have to be replaced every month (she was wearing a pair out every month)

Bought daughter a pair of turboslots this spring (white ones) and she split the side out of left hand in less than a month. Won't be buying anymore of those. May try the black ones, but she really doesn't need them because she has adopted Hitter's grip quite nicely.

Same problem with daughters gloves, at the QDSS I learn from Winthrop Head Coach to take a new pair of batting gloves and coat them with shaving cream...he recommends using Edge - Green (just so you can see every inch of the glove is coated) - coat the gloves inside/outside (24 hrs) to dry...after drying you can dust them off -leather and salt from sweat drys the leather out causing the batting gloves to ripe and tear, the shaving cream forms a barrier...you should do this each year by the way!

I haven't officially tried it yet, but we will this coming year!

Will try this with next new pair. She goes through batting gloves pretty regularly.

The only problem I have with the Turbo Slots, and those like them, is that if they are used to help hold the bat correctly then you always have to use them. If you ever take them off will you lose some "correctness"?

Not if you understand how to grip a bat. They're only effective if you're using them correctly, too. The pad isn't meant to stop the bat from getting into the fleshly palm of the hand. It is there to assist get the correct "pinch" like grip with the thumb and index finger.
