I do not post much, but enjoy the site and it's the insightful and humorous (at least I hope it's intentionally humorous) information that this site provides. With that being said, I ran across a situation recently I wanted to get some perspective on this situation since my DD is relatively new to the tournament softball. We were at a clinic and there were coaches there actively trying to recruit girls that were performing well to play on their team. My DD is very happy with her group and loves playing with them, one of the coaches approach me and asked if we would be interested in playing for their team. I politely declined, but I thought is was very poor etiquette and my knee jerk reaction was I would never play for someone who show up a clinic just to try to recruit girls for their team. Playing sports my whole life, I recognized that this occurs, but it just sat wrong with me. Am I overracting? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
