Ok so, our 14u red team earned a bid into ASA "A" Eastern Nationals early on in the season. We didnt proceed with paperwork or hotels because we were playing in 2 ASA/USA quailiers and hoped to get into those NAtionals. We knew we had ASA Eastern to fall back on.
We played inthe Strongsville ASA/USA qualifier and took second place to a great Buckeye Heat 95' team, which was weel deserved on their part! After that weekend we took a look at our choices for Nationals. We had...our #1 pitcher with a torn rotator, leaving us 2 pitchers (which are very good but still only 2) our starting catcher had a bum leg, 2nd catcher sore shoulder, and a few others banged up. All in All not good season for health this year.
So we opt to not proceed with going to ASA Eastern this year and to just finish off season.

So check this out...As of today the 14u Ohio Hurricanes Red team is in the losers bracket going 3-0. WHAT??? So my husband calls TD and the TD says he not sure how we got in the pool schedule and shocked since we never sent paperwork or payment. So basically the teams we supposedly were scheduled to play earned a win and didnt even play.

HMMMM.....

Well the moral of the story here is to chose your nationals more wisely. Your team is obviously overmatched at the Eastern Nationals, going 0-3 with 7-0 losses in each game. NAFA might be more your level.

At least the girls didn't lose any ground in the three games and kept the other team from scoring more that 7 runs each game !!!!!

So if I am reading this right, you were scheduled to play but didn't attend? This is the first time I have ever heard of ASA Eastern Nationals leaving a teams name on the list of those playing without having received payment or paperwork. I would say that was a huge snaffu and a first.

Sorry to hear you guys didn't go.

What would be funny if the final standings shows them ahead of some of other teams that WAS there and lost every game.....
