My dd doesn't have her own car, but she pretty much has full access to our 2002 Chevy Cavalier for school, practice, and running her younger brothers (she has 3) to practice, etc... We pay the insurance, she pays for gas, but bottomline, it is our car and we get first priority if we need it. Typically, hubby and I settle for the mini-van that she wouldn't be caught dead in. LOL There have been times that my hubsand and I have purposely taken the Chevy so that she would have to drive the minivan...we have to get our laughs somehow. Her younger brother has his temps now, and we've inherited a 1991 Honda Accord, (lots of dings, rust, but runs like a top), but he is thrilled to have access to it when he finally gets his license. Truth is, most of her friends have cars newer than any of ours....just surprises me, especially in this economy.
My first ride...a 1970, army green, Dodge Coronet... we nicknamed it The Tank...it took my friends and me everywhere, and I didn't give a **** what it looked like, cause at least I had a car!
