Just wanted to ask everyone a favor. If you ever see softball items - especially things like cleats or pants- at liquidation prices, please think of Stay in Softball and send us the information about what you found and where. You can message us on here or send us an e mail (stayinsoftball@gmail.com) or Facebook message (Facebook.com/stayinsoftball). For example, we picked up some cleats from Walmart in the fall for $5 a pair but by the time we found out about them there were only 3 pairs left and the other stores we contacted were already sold out.
We have come across many girls who need things like this and we are also beginning a new program with the Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland and we have already been told that many of the girls will need cleats and pants, etc. Many things like shoes and pants are so worn that they can not be passed down like equipment can. We are working on contacting manufacturers for donations but in the meantime if many people are looking out for deals for us, I am sure we will be able to pick up some things girls need.
