When you send in your application for invitational tournaments do they ask you what tournaments you have played in, who you played, and your record ??

Yes, along with your tentative schedule for summer.

Shoot, even if they don't ask for our previous summer's record, we give it to them. And we will do that again this fall, even though our summer 2010 win-loss record wasn't all that great. All that experience (including losses) against the top 10-20 teams in the state set us up for our finish as the second highest placing team from Ohio at the 14U USA/ASA Nationals. Plus most of our summer losses were by 1-2 runs.
An effective application to an invitational requires a LOT of time and thought. Just filling out the form won't get it unless you are a team who has the reputation of a Doom or Lasers team.
