What you see right now, is what we got.

Hey Lady Knights....are we using real softballs at this tournament?

Yes, all age levels will be using regulation softballs. ?11" for the 10U tournament, I believe. ?The GFOD facility has a dirt infield, so you will be sliding as well. ?This is an ASA Qualifier, so all ASA rules will be followed, with a few modifications, as to how things will be played indoors. ?
The field is enclosed with a metal fence around the edge, and a nylon net on the ceiling. ?You can play anything off of the nylon net, as long as it comes down in fair territory. ?Anything hitting the chain link fence, before coming in fair, is a foul ball. ?The best thing is to have your players play everything as fair, and the umpires, will then stop you if the ball is foul. ?
It can be a little chilly, especially in the mornings, so dress in layers. ?This is a large open, indoor facility, that is hard to heat, so dress accordingly.

What about the new 10U A steal rules ?

I'm not going to give you a definite answer on the 10U stealing rule. By this being a 10U ASA qualifier, I would assume that we will be using the new ASA steal rule. I am not the TD, so I would hate to tell you wrong. I will make mention of it, and make sure that it is discussed in the coaches meeting, or put in your packets. I would prepare your girls to steal, if you are coming.
