Got Bustos? Instructors

Over the last few years we have had a few people both coaches and players who have worked our events and sometimes traveled several hours to help out at clinics in other areas. Crystl felt it was time she put together a list of instructors she feels have earned the right to be called "Got Bustos? Certified instructors". These are instructors Crystl would reccomend to give instruction to any players looking for help with hitting.

These are some of those instructors:

Kyle Gross-Got Bustos? And Special Ops Sports lead instructor

Les Rogers

These instructors are trained by Crystl and who she feels are capable of working with groups and individuals to teach her method of hitting and who she would reccomend if asked for a reference.

The list will be updated as I speak with the individual's to make sure they are okay with us posting their name on a public forum.

For anyone who has worked with our clinics in the past and wonder about having your name on the instructor list I had them list people who have worked with us on a regular basis this past year and if I have personally seen how they work with players on their own.

I have changed things a little over the last year and not every instructor has been around to see and learn the changes.

Anyone who has done work with us and want to be considered can contact us and set up a personal evaluation by me. After the evaluation I will make a decision about listing you as a certified instructor.

Ummm....what about Howard Carrier? He was instrumental in teaching most of the mentioned instructors, including you I have been told, the elite swing.

I guess it's not necessary to mention Howard's name if he's not part of "Got Bustos?", but if he's in the mix I would think his name would be right after Crystl's and it would be a slap in the face not to mention his name since he is the man that started the hitting revolution in this area. So yeah, his name should be bolded and underlined!

You aren't the only one from up north to tell me that..lol. We hope to get up that way to do some workouts and lessons but I don't have any dates as of yet. We are doing the event in Sept in Cincy which you should check out. Great line up and we have added new instructors. Info is on the SOS website www.specialops-sports.com

I'm not trying to start anything and I did read what you wrote. Most if not all of the people mentioned were trained by Howard as well. As a matter of fact, if Howard was one of Crystl's hitting instructors, then she in essence was trained by Howard. If you read what I wrote, if Howard is not part of Got Bustos? then it is not necessary for him to be mentioned, so in a round about way you are saying that Howard is not part of Got Bustos?. I got it now, thanks.

Well it's now time for me to write this I asked my manager Marcia to post a list of instructors that I feel teaches what I teach in my clinics. My hitting instructor Howard was not put on this list due to the fact that he is no longer taking on new students and is trying to cut back. His health is more important to all of us and he wants to spend more time with his lovely wife and family....grand kids are the best he says should have had them first . So as far as being a part of gotbustos he will always be since he would be in martial arts terms a master and in my book a master clinician of gotbustos.

What a classy post. I've actually had, purely by coincidence, the pleasure of seeing Hitter's first grandchild in the flesh. Just a gorgeous child and Howard has tipped me off that the second one is just as great. As much as we would like to send our team players to his garage, Howard has given so much (at so little, which is to say virtually no, cost) to Ohio fastpitch that it is clearly time for him to focus on his health and on his family.

I know Howard would give me an "amen" in saying that Ohio fastpitch is extraordinarily blessed for all the contributions that you have made to our sport. Seeing the young ladies beam while holding your Olympic medals and seeing them improve based on your clinics and instruction is special. Thanks for letting Ted and me learn from the ride.
