I know Howard, and Sbfamily and others have talked about grip.
Many use the bat jack.
I also teach the same grip with and with out the bat jack. I tell the girls/boys it makes a hook. When you are doing it right the index finger looks like a hook. Thought I would post this photo of Albert.
See the hook? lead, top hand index finger. Looks like the color of the glove is yellow there.
He is hitting off that top pad where the index finger hits the palm.
