Northern Lakes League Predictions

Kat will help Maumee... but she is no Marisa Everitt yet. Everitt didn't make a big enough difference until her senior year and then it was with plenty of help from a strong senior class. I agree that Maumee is moving up.... give it another couple of years. Coach Hall has it moving in the right direction.

This is a great pick up for Maumee. I was wondering why Maumee and not Southview, Anthony Wayne, or Springfield?

I think Cat also plays on Maumee's summer travel team. She already knows the coaching staff.

I'm picking Southview as the one to win this league. They were tough last year and lost very little. aw will be there also have not lost much but are going through some turmoil and need to move some players around may effect them at least for the first 13 games. Springfield lost some big time offence but will be returning great soph pitcher. If she is competitive in that league with a fractured arm I cant imagine what she will be like healthy. Perrysburg will also return a great soph pitcher(travel teammate of the other super soph pitcher-see above) however lost whole infield and alot of offence even more than Springfield.

Southview
Aw
Springfield
Perrysburg
Maumee
Bowling Green
Northview
Rossford

Although AW has a great team and has a great shot at winning with Gill, the Hammans, and Chartier, but i also think that Southview, Springfield, and Perrysburg are being underrated...All three have great pitching and solid offense. Dont know much about Southview but at the end of last season when their number 1 came back due to injury they started to compete with teams. Springfield lost three great players to graduation, but look for Zappone, Price, and Hamilton to make a big splash this season. Perrysburg lost quite a bit but pitching is key in this sport and Bryson showed last season that she is a force to be reckon with. my picks are as follows

Springfield
Anthony Wayne
Southview
Perrysburg

Anybody got a stick, I just thought I'd poke at this dead horse one more time. ;D

Last year it simply came down to 1 team that didn't lose a game they shouldn't have. This year it could be the same deal or one team could win them all. A.W. was weaker last year (07)than the year before when they shared the title with Springfield(06). But A.W. won it outright. This year A.W. looks to be as strong as last year,.and Springfield, Perrysburg, and Rossford lost some talented players, but it's Feb. 27th. We won't know doodly squat until the games get played.

Lord knows I'm pulling for the GENERALS !!!!!! ;)

Just a minute here,...I'm looking for my 10' pole. ?Okay Im set. ?As I recall the Super Bowl was not won by the favorite at the end of the season, so to get it right before pitchers and catchers report is pure speculation.
I'm certainly willing to stand behind my "Generals" for having a legitimate shot at their 3rd title in a row, however the games all have to be played. A lot can happen in 14 league games. I think Uber has the right 4 teams, but I bet there are 4 other teams that plan on making their own statement about who the top 4 are.

Just an observation. From the looks of it Thunder is on the coaching staff of AW. So this information should be very good material for all the other NLL teams to read. I know it has been being followed by some of the SV team. Thunder are you the John Kerry of Softball. Flip Flop. First it is The underdog roll is the best position to be in then its the we have won all these titles and finally its the we are the faviorites. (I dont care but it is funny to read.) ?It is bold of a coach to be online making statements like this. JMHO. It is like watching Days of our Lives

Oh I forgot I need to be PC right. Okay..... I do beleive Maumee will be the most mproved team in the NLL

Have a Nice Day ?:)

I have a question of you long time NLL fans, how good was Rossford pre Marisa Everitt , Heban and crew? I am just curious of how long it will take them to replace such a strong senior class. What do you guys think?

very weak 7th and 8th grade class. I don't think they have the depth of talent to build on. They do have a couple of young bright stars, but not enough of them. They have a junior junk thrower that I like alot, but she has not gotten a lot of looks. She did pitch a little JV. I hope the best for them.

Dragbunt... first I think if a coach or a team needs a comment on this website to get you pumped up or to use this as "bulletin material" there are some major issues....
? ? Second I am not defending thunder at all but that is his opinion...does not matter if he is a coach, parent, scorekeeper are the guy that delivers the pizza ?;) it is his opinion...BTW I agree with it...My opinion is AW has the most talent this year They lost the least and I think they have the best one -two pitching combo in the area(assuming kurfis makes varsity) I believe Springfield and Perrysburg lost alot of key players ?I am not trying to make any fans mad but this is one man opinion....

643dp, AW has another pitcher that is a soph that throws some really serious heat, she pitched for Irick's Magic team and now the Finese. Her name is Dani Haley, she is very talented. So that gives AW a frosh and a Soph that would start at alot of NLL schools this year, so their future looks very bright, (BTW they would start at all but three TCL schools too lol) She is right up there with the PB pitcher.

So its sounds as if Rossford is in full rebuilding mode? I know a few kids that play there that are good ball players, hopefully there are a few more eh?
