10:47 and the fields are very wet. Doing all that is feasible but it's going to be tough. Here's your chance to make a difference if coaches want to get there early and help.

Just spent 4 hrs at Tealtown working on the fields. I have nothing to do with Tealtown. I have to say these guys are doing all they can. An 8:00am start time will be next to impossible. Please don't get on here bashing these guys and girl. They are busting their rears so we can play this tournament. Please grab a rake or a squeegy and help these guys in the morning. Most of these guys are doing this as volunteers and have nothing to do with fastpitch.

according to the tealtown website, there is at least a 2 hour delay this morning.... says to check back at 9:00 to see if it's more than 2 hours.

Here's the tale of two fields. The Smokey Baker NIT at Expressway Park just a couple miles away from Tealtown Park (NSA State) was playing on all fields at 8:00 AM this morning! No delays Tealtown...5 hour delay! But the real kicker is the communication or lack of. No one should have been at Tealtown this morning expecting to play. It should have been posted on the web site to expect delays. The rain didn't happen one hour before game time, it was the day and evening before. They knew they wouldn't have the fields playable and should have posted it! Black eye for Tealtown!

I think the black eye is for NSA on the lack of communication. Tealtown said fields would not be ready until noon, and NSA did no properly respond to this.

Expressway Park's fields are privately owned and were designed to make money. ?Those fields have a tremendous amount of money invested in drainage. ?Tealtown Ballparks fields were built to give kids a place to play baseball and softball in the West Clermont area, not to make money. ?Also, even though both complexes are within 3 miles of each other, it rained cats and dogs at Tealtown around 2:00am this morning and Expressway Park did not get a drop. ?I just wish the communication was better.
