Congratulations to the 12U Laser Orange State Champs and the Ohio Ice Runners up. They both got the best of us this weekend and gave us something to shoot for. Both these teams will be a challenge for any team at the NSA Nationals. We never really gave the Lasers a game but our game with the Ice was 1-0 going into the 6th inning when they busted out and scored 4 or 5 runs.

These are two classy teams that make us want to get better.

Westerville Ice 16U lost to Ohio Ice Black in championship game. Weird brackets had these two teams play each other three times today which was getting tedious. I heard that tempers were running a little short during the last game. A long day with hot temperatures can lead to hot tempers.

Chain Reaction and Magic played a great game last night. It was an amazing comeback for the Magic. Both teams will do well in any tournament they go to. I saw the girls talking like they were friends and that is true sportmanship and what sports are all about...having fun! Great job to both teams!!!

The Stingrays 16U Took 2nd In The B Bracket, They Came Back From First Game Loss On Friday To Battle All The Way Back On Saturday And Sunday. They Played 5 Straight Games On Sunday To Show How Much Heart These Girls Have, Before Running Out Of Gas. Congrats Rays, You Guys Did Awesome This Weekend!!! Rays Go 6-2 For The Weekend

I thought Sara Phillips was on the 18U Central Ohio Lady Rebels team. Did she leave that team? If she played an NSA tourney this season (including last fall) at 18U, wouldn't that make her an inelligible player at 16U?

Can anyone give me an update of the injured Viking Elite 14u player. Also a lot of great competition in the 14u B bracket. Sting, Pride and many others showed their talents well.. This Elite team however showed the ? heart of a lion going to the losers bracket friday and making it all the way back to the that brackets championship on sunday with many players banged up. My hats off to them .

S. Phillips plays on the 18-U Buckeye Heat (Blackburn). That team was off this weekend and isn't in any NSA tourneys this summer, so everything was legal.

Certainly she was a huge help to the Ice, but they did beat a very good Ohio Ice Blue team on Friday without her.

Congrats 12U Ohio Magic.... 2nd place in the State not too bad!! You girls did a great job, and we are all very proud of you. You girls played your hearts out and never gave up. A big thanks to our coaches who worked so hard with the girls. Your hard work paid off big time this weekend. Now lets focus on winning the district, so our girls get another shot at state!!
