No disrespect to the players at HN, I know and have much respect for many of them. Unfortunately I don't see any of the Cleveland area private schools having the depth to stick around long in the tournament this year. Mags has been our perennial powerhouse for years and they'll be lucky to be .500 this year.

I'm going with Hudson, Elyria & North Royalton to be the ones to watch.

The winner will come from the Center of the State for D-1 .... UA or Grove City..... if Elyria doesn't have another one as good as Tess in the wings, they won't be in the final 4.

Don't sleep on Hudson in DI. Any team that has pitching like the Meredith girl has to be in the conversation. In DII, look out for Poland. Core of that team is young and getting better and the Gabriel girl is as good as anyone, know that first hand. Not real familiar with DIII and other divisions but will do some research before doing my voting in the coaches poll.

Greenville dropped back to DII so they should make a deep run again this year. They had some very nice athletes move into the district the past year.

No disrespect, Parma because I know your team should be very good, but Holy Name would accomplish a lot this year if they finished in the top 3 in their conference ... Akron Hoban is always strong and has another year of McNeill, NDCL has re-loaded and will be right there, and Lake Catholic only lost one starter, albeit a very good one in Ambrose. This is a very strong DII conference.

Parma, did you guys go through a coaching change this year? My daughter played for your schools coach in the underclassmen all-star tournament and really enjoyed playing for him.. Heard that he may have not come back. Any truth?

Cant speak for the other confrences in the SW but Campbell at Lebanon or Spain at Fairborn are probably the 2 best in the GWOC and they both should go fairly deep

Call me crazy but, watch out for Miamisburg in the GWOC.... They have the talent. Let's see how they use it.

Well, if I were Tim, I'd get his 8th grade dd a Varsity Jersey and play on....^_^. Not sure what other help they have though. I saw Amelia last year with their Freshman pitcher and several nice athletes in field and at plate, imagine they should be in a position to give GE a test. Anderson has ACE Pitcher to contend, but not sure about help, and Turpin has nice #1 that made EVERYONE look silly at Akadema Gold in fall and again at Kent State, with YOUNG support cast... should hold their own and with some strong performances might contend. Loveland, Mason, Milford,......others are unknowns for me although I saw three Mason girls at QDS last fall, so there could be something there too.

Ringer, Don't our HS Coaches also have a HUGE responsibility to perform some paperwork or other to ensure Ohio MAINTAINS or GROWS our ASA Bid #s?

I remember seeing something about this last year, which was concerning, due to the disconnect between HS and Travel ball????????

I believe Tims' 8th grade dd is playing on the club team this year....or so I've heard. Not trying to hijack the thread, but the 7th and 8th grade club team's gonna be very tough and Andy Vita did a great job with the schedule.

The high schools on the east and north side of Cincinnati do have some nice pitchers. On the west side, Schwaeble from Colrain is now at NKU and I do not know if they had anyone else in the wings.

Yes he did not have his contract renewed do to one girl and her parents winning because she did not get playing time....even though she was sick and missed 2 1/2 weeks of the season and after coming back she still was not well enough to play for another 1 1/2 weeks..but she would spend her off time in school sitting in the AD,s office..

I would have to say WAYNE WARRIORS will be in most of there ball games we lost 1 senior that played last year and only have one that will start this year so next year looks good to. Good luck girls...
