I just cleaned out my gutters because my practice-ball bucket was getting empty. 7 11-inch balls and 5 12-inch balls, but my kids can catch a fly ball!!

I think I'll follow your thread tomorrow and get some out of my gutters once the leaves have fallen. We should patent these ol' fashioned, tried and true, gutter guards!

Makes you wonder about who made the standard gutter spout measurement. Why couldn't it be made softball friendly at 12 1/4'' for a quick ball return?

Ace,

I Remember several of the games that you mentioned, especially endless hours of "Hot Box" when there were only 3 or 4 boys playing outside at 7 or 8 in the morning...lol. I can't imagine even the younger girls getting up that early in the summer on there own...lol.

Miller,

I can relate...as our back yard had permanent dirt bases and a pitchers spot from all the games of Wiffleball. We even had 2 player leagues for a couple of years. And the Aluminum siding had more dents then a salvage yard, but our Mom never complained, as she whould rather us boys be near home, then out getting in trouble somewhere else...lol.
