Crismon, paragraph or not I like what you have to say. Things have changed so much in with kids today. I remember in HS a Jr. losing his spot to a sophmore on my basketball team. Saturday morning the boys father and body building older brother comes in to practice to express his displeasure to our coach.
After about 15 minutes of very animated discussion the coach blows his whistle and calls the boy over. He calmly tells him to go change and leave his gear on the locker room floor because his father is not happy with his playing time. The boy looks heart broken and the dad trys to change his tune. Our coach calmly says to him "I am paid by the district to make the best decisions I can for this TEAM and I will not have my decisions questioned by a parent. I wish you and your family well" That was the end of the boys HS basketball career and coach never had a parent show up at a practice ever again.
Today the coach would be in front of the school board defending why the other player who was clearly better and earned their spot replaced an upper classman!
