We've got to be in the top 10... lol. We've currently got 25% of our team on the DL. :-(

Dan,

I am right there with you. Last year we played 77 games without an injury that caused anyone to miss a game. Heck, this year I cant even get the girls out of school. We have broken bones already.

It has been a bad year. And the weirdest part is that none have happened at softball.

10U - 1 gone for year, 1 gone for 4 weeks ankle ($occer)
12U - 1 gone for year back issues, 1 with broken elbow (no idea how it happen)
13U - 1 gone for year, 1 out 2 more weeks (BB)

It is tough for the 10 and 12 because each was at 11 girls.......

Jay lost his catcher for a few weeks .. was on school bus, driver hit brakes hard, her head went forward, hands grabbed the seat back in front of her and her thumb was driven into her eye socket. She is on full bed rest for 7 days, they fear a blood vessel rupture in her eye.

She just came back from an injury, his SS has shoulder problems, one kid with quad muscle pull, and one other .. at any time he has had 3-4 hurt/out for a month...

Nothing could have helped our injuries unless you give scooter lessons to 12 year old girls!!

LOL, yeah we seem to like breaking bones on this team. Not to worry everyone, we only break our own bones.

We've had 3-4 since last fall. And 2 playing for their varsity teams in KY still...you do the math. Had a couple more at practice tonight so it's coming around. So...yeah...we are ready to be healthier! Carrying 12 was genius...

DD was out 6 weeks with broken right wrist. Has been back a little less than a month. Starting to get back into the swing of things. We also have another girl out for the year with a messed up achillies.

We have two out for the season...while that may not be the highest number, our problem is they are both catchers and we only had three catchers to begin with :(

Ironically, neither of them did it catching. The one was sliding to second base when the 2nd baseman slipped and fell over top of her, pulling her thumb back and at a funny angle - broke it in two places.

The other one (my DD), was not even playing softball. She was at a friend's house, walking barefoot in the backyard and hit her fourth toe on a cedar landscaping tie. It became very big and ugly very quickly. Took her to Children's and discovered that she had a nasty break with the bone fragment displacing to the side and back of the main bone shaft. She ended up having to have surgery with two pins placed in the fragment and is in a cast that goes almost to her knee. :(
