CHICKASHA, Okla. – The second ranked University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma improved their perfect record to 15-0 with a pair of shutout victories over Bacone College. The Drovers picked up the dominant 21-0 win in the first game of the day, and they won the second game 8-0.

GAME 1 –

The Drovers scored runs early and often as they cruised to the 21-0 shutout victory. USAO scored 4 runs in the first inning, prior to exploding for 13 runs in the second inning. With the score 17-0, the home team added 2 more runs in the third and fourth innings to put the game away.

Emily Cerny (SO/Newcastle, OK) was sensational in the circle. The reigning NAIA Player of the Year pitched her first no-hitter of the season against the Warriors. Cerny recorded EVERY out for the Drovers as she struck out 15 of the 17 batters she faced. The only two base-runners for Bacone came via walks.

GAME 2 –

Similar to the first game of the day, the Drovers took the early lead and kept adding to it, to pick up the 8-0 win. USAO struck first with a pair of runs in the first inning, and then added four more runs in the bottom of the second inning. The Drovers scored the final two runs of the game in the fourth inning.

Randa Hatter followed up her SAC Pitcher of the Week award with another shutout performance. Hatter only allowed one hit and zero runs as she struck out 8 batters.

Kristen Prieto had a HUGE game! The junior infielder finished the game with a perfect 3-3 performance that included a 2-run homer, a grand slam, a single, and 7 RBI's. Prieto earned the SAC's Player of the Week award just two weeks ago, and she's making a strong claim for it once again. Randa Hatter was stellar in the circle and she also had a productive game at the dish, going 2-3 with a double. Destinie Lookout and Dakota Clouse each contributed one hit in the win.
