she should probably skip the 14u level next year and go right to 16u so she can get noticed earlier.

woolf:

You won't get any argument from Buckeye Heat '95 on that one :D Seriously, very nice pitcher and it sounds like her hard work will make her better and better.

when you hear those numbers at that age, general rule of thumb from 10 years of experience in softball is subtract 5 -- even 60 high at14
how'd that kid's team do in the tournament
they should have won it if she's throwing 65 at 14

She is 13. No she is not throwing in the Mid 60's. We know how hard she is throwing from a recent camp at OSU. We don't emphasize on speed. It is location. And we never brag about her speed. The people who have seen her pitch know her talents. Her team tied for 5th place. They lost 1-0 to the first place seed Pitts Roadrunners. I think there will be alot of strong 13u's playing this summer.

Jocelyn is the real deal.My daughter had the opportunity to play with her last year and she has improved greatly over last year.low 60s is probably right on.her parents are great people also.the nice thing about Jocelyn is she is a very level headed kid.I do agree that next year she should skip right to 16u ball for her own benifit.

To pass the props around some Emily A with the Doom is right there with the best at 13u . She shut down several good 14u's in the fall tournies , I mean shut down to zero. She is tough. MD

I was watching her pitch a game Saturday afternoon. I was watching the signs from her coach and then where they crossed the plate.

She probably wasn't in the mid 60's from what I saw, but she made very little mistakes. She hit over 90% of her spots. I think she struck out five or the firs six batters she face. then it may have been seven for the first nine.

She has great size and can hit the ball well.

Ive faced Jocelyn a few times over the years, She has been getting better with each year. She has all the tools to be great talent and just plain and simple a great kid! Keep working Kiddo!

Ok - sorry. Low 60s. Still, incredible for a 13 year old and I'm not one that's all about speed; location, location, location. Jocelyn is the real deal. I've worked with her a couple of times pitching. She is such a great kid and her parents are wonderful too. I didn't mean to create a ruckus (spelling) - just throwing out some props to her. She will be very special if she continues at the rate she is at now.

13 with the Laser Silver is the real deal; whether it is in the circle, on first base, or in the batters box.

it's getting good.

i like the midget line myself

Gotta love the name calling. Quite "mature".

They sound like a couple of 1st graders going at it. Thought Bigtrain had out grown that since "leaving" OFC (or at least retiring the Bigtrain handle) but apparently not.

I understand his beef but very disappointing behavior on his part. :(

Bill means well, but sometimes he lets his emotions get in the way. If you have watched him coach, he is a little high strung.

Hey glad - why can't you just be happy for the Lasers Silver pitcher? She's a good kid that worked hard. No reason for bitterness.
