Watered down!

With the Premier nationals going on in California does this mean ASA nationals are watered down and may just be irrelevant. I found it odd some of the teams that had earned a birth are border line terrible and are middle of the road teams at best! I guess this softball just isn't what it used to be.....

Hmm, ASA irrelevant? Thinking not so much. This (Premier) thing, kinda ok, just has yet to get teams to attend from ohio, well ya get 2 or 3 big deal yeah!! You and I both know that!!! Com on Dice! really?

They aren't doing bad. There from Ohio.

16U Nationals Pool Play (Tenn)
Doom and Tidal Waves both won second pool games Tuesday to finish 2-0.
Madness Black beat Corona, CA Angels 2-0 to finish 1-1 in pool games. Nice shutout by Christine ***** over a top Southern California organization

ASA/USA in Chattanooga has TONS of Coaches there. The Coaches didn't get the Premier memo. They could care less about a handfull of teams. They go where the players are. And the largest pool of recruitable players are in Chattanooga.

If Dice is solely speaking of competition being watered down, there could be SOME truth to that. But at 16u, who cares about that, it's ALL about recruiting.

Say what ya want but Scott is on the money. Appears lots of the big dogs are at Premier.

Why leave your back yard when you can stay home? Not saying all of them are there but it looks like last year's ASA Champs along with a number of the other tops teams in SoCal stayed home to play instead of traveling to TN.

Scott, this isn't the first time you have used the word "irrelevant". Irrelevant to who? Just because you don't like something doesn't make it irrelevant.

One of your infamous East Side teams may be irrelevant to the Beverly Bandits, but not to the parents on that team.

The 100,000 Ford Focus sales may be irrelevant to Lamborghini, but not to the people who drive them.

If Premier wants to cavort out in California, why do we care what "relevance" it has to ASA? Just play ASA and be quiet.

I know you like to stir the pot, but try making a logical point once in a while.

After some further looking into the 16u ASA tournament there are plenty of west coast and southern teams in attendance! But reading the list of entries and seeing 10 teams from Ohio it jumps out at me that out if the 10 3 maybe 4 actually belong! I can't name them because that will surely get this pulled but I will say this to the one team from south east Ohio how do you pick up another teams starting pitcher to bring to nationals who wasn't good enough to earn her team a bid? That's another topic in itself....... I wish Ohio luck but there are two teams that won't need it they will handle their business!

The pitcher all by herself could do that? No runs need scored? No other defense needs played? If you are that good as a pitcher then I'm impressed.
