Not sure if it is true or not, but we played in a12u tournament last weekend. We were told that a team was put together out of a couple teams, one being a TNT team (but there was a TNT team there). Anywase, they were called West Virginia Dusters, and let me tell you, these girls were talented. You could tell that all of those girls had great coaches through-out their whole career. They ended up going undefeated at the tournament. I think their pitchers name was Montana, not sure though.

I wonder if the Montana that you are referring to is the ex Ice Orange pitcher. I thought she went to Thunder Elite though.

Not sure, I know this girl is built like an athlete, and carries a big bat. She also won the home run derby that weekend. She has really long hair if that helps??

Long hair helped Samson, so maybe it'll work for softball players...

The player in question is Montana.. joboo1drew is correct. She is playing for my Thunder Elite '00 team. Living as far away as she does, she is playing with the WV Dusters as well on the some of the weekends during the school year when the travel wouldn't make sense.

Jeff,
She is a very talented player as stated above. She will make your team that much tougher. Good luck this coming weekend at the Pumpkin Smash. Hope to see your team many times this coming year. Great group of girls, coaching staff and parents.

The Explosive Black team is not the same team from last year.

Yes even with out being last year pink team I think they may be pretty good.they have a 3 year 10u pitcher and they look to do well at canfield winning against ice red.

In Canfield, Explosive beat Ice Red by 1 in pool play and Ice Red beat the Storm and Wolfpack in pool play. Then lost to the Storm 7-8 in the championship game in bracket play.

I don't think there is a "stand alone" 10U team. From who we've played, both Ice Red and Storm 02 are VERY solid teams. I've watched a little of the Vipers and Explosive and they too are well put together. It's going to be a great season with some great competition.

I agree Snoman. There are many good teams out there in 10u and it should be an interesting summer with alot of good games. After spending most of my time in the older ages, it's fun to come back down and watch the little squirts...they are so cute!! Although some of the coaches and parents take this age group just a tad too serious, they seem to think it's the world series. :)

We have played quite a few teams this year in 10u and from the teams we have played Ice Red, Explosive Black, Vipers, Sundogs are all very good teams! I have also heard that Mason Thunder, Classics 02 and of course the Lasers are all tough teams but we have not had the honor of playing them yet!

I think that it is going to be yet another great year of 10u ball, wish it could keep going. But we do live in Ohio

Yeah they tend to be super serious ( parents and some coaches) behind the back stop is the seat of choice, you can generally sit there are pick out whose been through it before and who is a travel nOOb. The majority will back off and the helicopters will land by at the end of June to the beginning of July... But those fall, May and early June tournaments its hard to hear yourself think with all the helicopters at the fields.
