Greenville wins on the main field in the first game of the day. Fisherback holds them scoreless until the 7th inning and the defense was awesome with two great catches in the outfield including a diving grab by the left fielder in the gap. Jr. Alysa Comer had a big day at the plate as did J. Fisherback and T. Enicks.

Greenville moves to 11-1 on the season and looks forward to playing Canfield and Grove City Saturday.

Wave where does Fisherback play in the summer?

Another question about your area:

Miami County Blaze Gold 14U from 2008 - where does their pitcher attend high school?

Run26 Fisherback plays for the OFC (Orange) 16U in the summer along with the pitcher from Tipp City K. Locker. They have an excellent 16U team that should be attending the nationals.

About the Blaze (Gold) 2008 14U pitcher I am not sure exactly what HS team she plays for but she is a nice pitcher. She is definately from Miami Co. if that helps but I'm sure that someone on here will know for sure.

Are there fewer out of state teams this year? Last year I recall three from Illinois, one from Alabama, one or two from New York, I think one from Indiana...

Elyria lost to New Palestine IN in the 11th I think 1-0

Darby beats St. Mary's 2-0, Roudy throws a no hitter--- possibly perfect game, not up there til tomorrow, so all second hand. Heard about 800 people there...

Just a couple thoughts on this years Wendy's. First of all let me say that I am a huge fan and I just love the level of competition that they bring in there. Everywhere you looked it was a who's who of top teams from Ohio and surrounding states. Great games everywhere you looked and the talent was exceptional.

Now, I really have a need to address the negatives. This year I was really disappointed that the West Park diamonds were in poor condition. Not at all what you would expect from an event like this. I did not see them drag any of the fields all day long. Plenty of time in between games, and there was staff standing around, but other then lining them between games they never really ran the drag at all. Very disappointed. Next, for an event like this they definately need to get some temporary fences. The cavernous outfields are not well suited for this game and for such a showcase, they need to have temp fences just like they have on the Main field. Put them at 200, or 210 whatever, but give the players the type of field that they can be highlighted on.

OK, my rant is over and I will surely be back next season, but I hope that some (or hopefully all) of these issues will be addressed.
