Like Lenski: I'm outnumbered 3 to 1. Went thru all of this with the 24 year old, now its the 14 year old's turn. You learn to hide, go on long walks and have selective hearing. She now has the boy friend, which adds to the problems.

I was my daughters hero until she turned 13

From the time she was 13 to 15 and a half I was treated like an old goat.

When she turned 15 and a half. I temporarily became her hero again. (She wanted her license and a car)

From the point she received her license to the time she want off to college. She treated me like an old dog.

It was during the time in college that she realized that we were spending a lot of money and she was living on her own, she came back down to a normal kid.

Now at 26, she is just like her mother. :lmao:

My father said something about a tranquilizer gun or hormone therapy to my mother. She took me to a OB/GYN and the world was peaceful again! I know birth control pills are a touchy deal but so are depression and anger! It worked for my two sisters and my mother and ME! Dad is thankful and has less stress! lol

I have 2 daughters. The 14 yr old is just like my wife.....mean and will rip off your head and spit down your neck hole at a moments notice. The 12 yr old is much easier to deal with. She just looks at you and asks "Why?"

Don't believe me, just ask Mstbozz........

Oh yeah.......and the three have synced up to give me 1 week of pure h e l l each month.......

Make that three of us. I'm living in the estrogen sea... Thank God that the younger one is like Lenski's younger one, easy to deal with and partially because she is still 10.... where's Peter Pan aging when we need it....

Crazy isn't it?

I know, lol. I came late to this thread and couldn't believe what I was reading. Funny stuff from the guys, but still surprising.

Anytime I tell folks my parents had 8 girls and 1 boy, the answer never varies---"Oh, that poor boy!". LOL, I guess he and my Dad did have it pretty tough, but they're great guys and know how to treat women.

On a related note, there's an interesting book called The Red Tent that is related to this thread: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Red_Tent

plus, most guys didn't have to deal with their wives developmental issues unless they got married at 14...now that the "guys" have to deal with it IN THEIR OWN HOMES as it evolves it's a 'phenomenon' to us!!!

I used to have issues about this or dicussing this in a public forum.I have seen some males falter and become disconnected with there DD's in the past and totally loose it.
I've watched a Father who's DD should be ranked nationally allow the natural evolution of growing up, destroy there relationship soo bad DD doesnt even look at a field. They now have nothing in common, except hate. She hates him ,and he hates him...pretty bad.
For me, I can, and would rather be able to discuss this and other things with people who are in the same situation.Yeah we may joke and me I can joke with the best of them ask Uber ,Philbob,Steamman..ManitouDan just to name a few of the guys i've harrassed and razed over the Infamous Man Card.To loose the relationship of a Father and Daughter over something silly would honestly kill me. So,this forum and the bantering in a way is a guys outlet. Call it what you like but it's become a home for me.

DD was little different one min we were working on hitting Low and away junk, sked her if she was getting tired and BOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!She went off running dropped the bat and into the house she ran?! I was left outside picking up 3x5 gal buckets worth of balls thinking WTH? Wife comes out glaring . I guess I was in trouble cause she just laid into me scolding me for being too rough and blah..blah..blah..yada,yada..my son was like huh?I was awestruck confused and just flabbergasted. Apparently the "Women Dolphin" signal was set off because in pulls Grandma and passed me with a blur and glare she goes, slams the door and into the house she goes.
I was totally befuddle by now but not to eager to enter my own house because the Sacred Dolphin Circle was being formed here come my sister in law,"Way to go Azo?!"
Out in my own yard confused and a little anxious as to whats going on. Sons just out there with me like," Dad your in trouble!!!!" I have no idea whats going on but women have a secret dolphin whelp higher then a dog can hear,"ECCK ..ECCK.EEK..EEk ICK ECK!!!" Like a swarm of locust they swarm to protect the youngest female of the pack.
Honestly I saw no cell phone heard no auditory transmissions just women pulling into the house and glaring at me as if I were a demon. 2 hrs pass by and out comes Grandma, not sure whether to bolt cause my inlaw does strike some fear in me.She had already given me the evil eye.....I wasn't sure if my armor had enough hit points to take a blow from an evil witch. Then out comes my wife laughing now I'm a lil ticked but smart enough not say anything stupid with my women inlaws in a semi circle around me.By the way,my son done bolted headed across the field to a pond to hang out with papaw. My wife says" your daughter has entered womanhood",You'll have to act like nothing happened because she embarrassed and she'll be moody now and you need to act like you know what she is going through and that she will have sudden mood changes and so on ."
Tothis day I still aint sure what went on.I just know women have a code and the Dolphin Circle . I am just glad I have only 1 daughter.I dont want to go through this 2wice in a lifetime.

This is some funny stuff Cadence!!!! :lmao:

My wife read these posts, lowered her eyes, lowered her voice (not softly), looked at me, and said "Uh huh." I have spent today hiding all the sharp objects in our house.

Here's another observation: I was telling my mom how moody my daughter has become in her teenage years. She says "Your grandfather wouldn't have put up with that when we were kids." B.S.!!! Grandpa knew he was Scr*w*d even back then. Mom, you were just like that - It's just that all teenage girls don't know that they're Psychotic Attitude Distibutors - They think it's "everybody else".......
