Winning should never be the most important thing..............If teams are winning every tournament and 90% of there games, then they are playing the wrong tournaments..........sadly, theres alot of coaches that play below there skill level to pad there records......at the end of the day it's about making your team and the players better and in order to get better you have to play teams that are at your level or better.......and you as a player need to play..........and coaches should not be afraid to push your team.......and if you picked a girl up as long as she does her part it's you job to PLAY her where she helps the team and herself......if you as a coach can't make her better then you have failed her as a coach................................

Younger ages, playing time and getting better, less focus on winning, as you get older, exposure and then winning. Just my two cents.

winning = smiles
smiles = witnessing fundamentals being truly learning = children smiling
fundamentals being executed = winning

Short circle, hard to follow through and takes up to "many years"... but in the end, what is the goal?

This is a dumbed down look but after seeing all of the comments circling similar talking points, I had to even ask myself this very same question.

So, debating time in games comes down to mature thoughts of the goal... and owning the "acceptance" portion of joining any team and it's on the families to choose before saying "yes" to a particular offer. If you are "soft" in understanding what questions to ask a coach and didn't filter/decipher his/her response(s), well, did you prepare properly and NOW how does that affect your ultimate goal(s)? Probably been said on here before but that's just one way to look at it.
