ALM has added Rip-it Akadema and Ringor ... we get our uniforms and spiritwear there as do the Static and other Ohio teams ... their prices to registered org's/teams for Rip-it is very good ... http://www.spiritwearnow.com/ is their web site - create an account and select 'Other Fastpitch' in the dropdown to see the team pricing.

I may be a bit partial, but my facility (Fremont Batting Range) can give you great deals as well. Keep in mind, we all pretty much pay the same amount for goods we sell - it's what we're willing to sell it for. Call me at 419-334-9455, let me know what you need and I'll see what I can do.

Thanks,

Joshua Delp

RIP-IT has a Replacement Kit for the Defense Faceguard.

FASTPITCH! Anything else, And you're playing to SLOW!

The new chin pad is all Velcro-esque... Muuuch better than the original chin pad. Nice work Rip-It! We have been on the Rip-It band wagon since they very first came on the market. All players should be wearing one! Mini-hi-Jack...

Rip-It has great customer service as well. The original design chin pad came apart, and the customer service rep I e-mailed sent a new design chin pad for free.

I agree about players wearing defensive masks, at a minimum pitchers and the corner infielders. That is my personal opinion though, and there was a thread last year that debated the point extensively. There are many more manufacturers that offer the masks now too. Schutt has one on the market now that is almost identical to the Rip-It, and Worth has one that is very close to the Gameface.

Definitely would recommend dealing directly with Rip It. I have had great experiences with purchases as well as refunds, they stand behind their products. They also have blemished bats for sale at a reduced price. Hitrunscore and beapro.com are good, just watch pricing and compare. Compare model numbers and Google, some sites are cheaper than others on certain products.

My entire team wears the Rip-It defenseive mask and we have had the same issues as everyone else with the chin pad. I'm ecstatic to say the least that they came up with a fix!

SPC sports(Mentor Ohio) has a wide selection of equipment. They stock most of the fastpitch bats available. The also carry baseball and slowpitch bats. My wife works there. Ask for Cheryl. Our dd plays for Ohio Hawks 98. I only mention that because she cares about every purchase. And loves to talk fastpitch.

Me too. I was able to glue the velcro strip back on to the chicn pad and works nice. I also purchased the newer model Rip-It mask so probably use the new one once spring time comes around.

The other fix I was excited abut was the use of the triangle for the head strap for the girls. It works SOOOO much better when they wear their ponytails.

Wow... we came a long way from 5 years ago when everyone was yelling at just the suggestion of defensive facemasks. And do you remember when the facemask was mandated for the batting helmets??? The games changes and it takes some people a while to adjust.
