Who really is the number 1 team?

This subject is useless until you have one sanctioning body with an all inclusive state tournament where every team plays everybody 10 times a season.

Tell me, who was the #1 team in 2006? We know all the results for last year and I'm sure we still can't come to a consensus who was the best team LAST year. Come on, who was it?

i would have to agree that missing three players would make a difference. if the players that are there are forced to play positions that they're not used to, it can be rough.
the thing about softball (or any sport for that matter) is that any team can beat any other team on any given day. maybe the nightmare had a bad weekend? it could happen to anyone.
i know that the slammers are one tough team. they could definitely dominate at u14 level. the ice is a good team as well, and so are the lazers.
all i can say is, no team is absolutely flawless. if a team had a bad weekend, why bash them?

furthermore, i'm blown away if that is only the nightmare's 3rd pitcher.

Ringor, the answear to your "who's was the #1 14U team in 2006" question is easy. It was the Lasers Purple.

Hey, I could care less who everyone thinks is #1. I'm just so happy that one of my DD's, who has shown no interest in bats, balls or anything else softball related for the past 9 months, decided on her own to play this weekend!!! To see that spark in her eyes again, not only during the tournament, but during the ride home and into the next day is priceless.

So in short, you can have all the #1 rankings thats out there. I'll enjoy the possibility of watching all my girls playing again!!! ? :) :) :)

Now thats awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Johnnies - are any of the parents from the BTTICP team divorced? If so, are they still related?

There are alot of great teams at the 14U level. I myself am looking foward to watching some great ball this summer. My DD plays for the 14u Stingrays-Toller. I will say that this team brings about 8 girls that have played at the varsity level this spring. One pitcher that loged over 121 innings for a DI (Northwest Ohio) top 10 ranked team in Ohio, a starting shortstop for one of the top DII teams in central Ohio also won 3 or 4 games on the mound, Another DI starter at first base and the list goes on..... This experience will put them right there with everyone else.

My DD cant wait to play the top competition. This will reveal to her what she needs to work on and bring out the best in her.

But as we all know "On any given day" so thats why we play the games.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, WE (parents) won't settle anything, our daughters will. Sometimes people forget that part. Enjoy watching your kids play. Win, lose, or draw there are a lot worse things 14-16 year old girls could be doing with their free time..

Since I am apart of the nightmare team I would like to say sorry for the acting in words on one of the members in our program. Sorry to anyone that felt offend. And to keep everything clear nightmare is not that kind of team to say things like this and I dont want anyone to think that we are the trouble making team because we are not. I would also like to add that I was at the tournament that weekend and we did not play well at all and since I cannot play because I was still in high school it was the worst I have ever seen us play and 3 players do make a very big difference.
