What percentage of travel players are playing for the sole or main purpose of getting recruited into college? I wouldn't think that number would be very big. Am I wrong? I thought most play for fun (winning) with no real expectations or thoughts of getting recruited.
funny.. we had our best week of practice this week all season... last night the girls were loose, having fun and executed great ...I'll let you know whether morale is still up after the Canton open qualifier, which if teams come from the west coast could be a real eye-opener for our girls.
I think, this is just a wild guess, but I think that 75-80% of the girls in the older age groups have aspirations of playing in college. Again, no stat to show that but for a team fee of at least $500 and then all the travel expenses, I don't see too many girls do this just for fun.
