When my dd hits a 3 run HR and a base (loaded) clearing double one day, and the next day strikes out (ugly) 5 times!! At least make it a pretty strike out, right?? :rolleyes:

Coaches calling location or the type of pitch to their batters.

They are wrong most of the time, the batter can't hear it, and the pitcher only hits her 25% spots anyway;

Why bother.... It is just downright bush, useless and annoying to boot.

Should TD's Outlaw Cow Bells and Air Horns at Tournaments :confused:

Seeing in the future.. orgs running tournaments sell the "pop" out of the 2 liter and fill with rocks and then sell the 2-liter full of rocks for another profit.

I just want it to be fun, and sometimes it is more of a pain in the rump than anything else. I love watching my kids play. Wish that is all you had to deal with.

Parents not remembering that: Coaching is completely voluntary and they they don't get paid. Coaches make sacrafices with their careers and sacrafice time with thier spouses and children to spend time with a team.

Also, when the parents cheer for a girl who makes it to 1st on an over throw!:)

Have to disagree with that one. I will cheer very loudly for this :yahoo: especially in the older age groups. I have seen way too many girls hit a ball and think that they are out and do not run through the base but then pick the speed back up when they see the error. Too little too late. When I coach first, the girls know to run and you will hear me yelling error to keep them going when I see a bobbled ball. Don't give up. Get disgusted after the ump says you are out. JMHO

My biggest gripe is the parents that start packing up before the game is over because we are loosing, but 2 innings prior yelling at their DD to get in the game. We are there to support our DDs that's it...just support them and sit your butt down and cheer.

Ugh if you are so mad at them then just go home we don't need the negativity. You obviously don't want to be there in the first place.

Oh and dads that can coach better than the actually coaches. Ask to be one and pull the committment out your bum then you may speak. These Dads are the ones that usually don't even stay for practice, but know what every girl would be best for. Please just shut up and enjoy the summer.

Sorry can you tell that I have spent way to much time with these ignorant people and it's only coming up on week 4. Love the girls-that's it. Sit by myself and keep the stats. Keeps my head straight forward and too busy to respond to the negativity.

Saddly this is the main reason why my DD has chosen that this will be her last travel ball season (still trying to talk her out of it). She just said that it must be easy for them to sit in their comfy chairs, drinking cold beverages, and in the shade while knowing how to play the game. Do they not realize that this behavior just embarrasses their DD because her teammates are now mad at the Dad and talking smack in the dugout? Stop putting your child in that situation.

At one point-a couple of years ago when she was catching, a dad wouldn't shut up so she turned around and tried to hand him her glove and asked "if he wanted to come out and try to do it better?" I couldn't believe that she said it, but apart of me was very proud that she stuck up for herself.
