TD's that say they will update the rain line at a certain time and DON"T. Our rain line was updated at 6 am and they said to check back at 9 for the status. At 9:20 no update. You Losers! :D

Mine is is when we are going to warm up during a game and I swear another team will be right at our side when there is a mile of room. Our hitting nets are like magnets; once we set them up it draws another team next to them.

Right now it is the pain of making 2 teams per age group. Then spending the whole season with parents bi&*& about how their daughter is better that all the grils on the "B" team and half the girls on the elite team. Then listening to them ask when tryouts are......then complaining that they will not be given a fair chance.........calling president of org and demanding her daughter get put on the elite team.........and the best thing is that she can only really play 2nd.........no arm for left side and can not catch a fly ball.............and can only bunt......never seen her drive a single ball at 12U.......

I want to find an orphanage and post tryouts there.

Had a situation in Akron where we came off the field after winning a close bracket game and found that the team we were playing next were using our pop-up net and balls to warm up their girls.

I don't think so.

I think its awesome - you care enough about your kid to help her understand her strengths and weaknesses, and then she needs to do something about it. Great parenting in my opinion!!

Thanks happytobeme, exactly what the little black book is for. She can then compare her games to the other team pitchers so she can make her pitching lessons very issue specific. I also take action shots of her warm ups so she can see what part of the mechanics need tweaked.

Her other excuses are just something she uses with us for attention, as if she doesn't get enough of our time already. ;&

Pet peeves from this weekend:

1. coaches who are overheard using off color language with their 14U players to make a point="if they are in your way, just run their a**es over".

2. girls who are loudly discussing before a game their reasons for pitcher selection="---'s pitching because she struck out almost everyone on this team the last time."

Anyone associated with the game who can't be civil with each other in their communication: coaches, umpires, and fans.

(It stands to reason I would include players on the above list, but I can't ever recall an occasion where I witnessed it being a problem with one of them. Maybe adults should take note.)

Hadn't thought about it much ......till this past weekend. Had a couple of parents from another team that chose to camp out in prime viewing area when their team wasn't playing. Wifey even asked Hubby " Are we moving so they can get in " He said "No", so she sat there doing needlepoint and he dozed during our game. Complained some that foul balls to the fence were interupting his nap. Kicker is , their team wasn't even playing next ! Our parents had to sit behind them. At least they had on Red and Black. :lmao:

But the next team coming in was Black and Blue !

My daughter has chosen not to to try out for a select team so this is not because she didn't make one.

Coaches and players that play for the "select" teams and think that automatically makes them better than everyone and therefore can do whatever they want wherever they want. I've come across a couple of organizations, where certain age groups, are very over confident in not a good way.

Also, if people want to smoke, please take it somewhere where it's not going to be the only thing we smell! I understand that people smoke, I have several friends that do, but even outside that smell travels.

Parents who post's start with "STRONG" select player, "HUGE BAT" when hitting, "SPEED DEMON" on the bases, "FLAWLESS" glove...... But they are still looking for a team....

the line of dads who always stand on the top row of the benches to watch a softball game. no one would do this at a football or baseball game,or basketball unless it was in the final seconds of a close game. but it never fails that there will be a line of dads with their arms crossed, too-cool shades for a 50 year old, watching above everyone else. just sit down
