Manitue, thanks for the compliment. I love the stats between the stats that shape individual teams. There is so much info that coaches can gain by breaking down top tier tournaments such as Stingrays.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What was interesting was how at the 12U, the variance between the Offensive and Defensive rankings between the teams stayed pretty consistent. For example the top 4-6 teams that rated highest in one catagory also ranked highest in the other catagory. This pattern stayed pretty consistent throughout the entire field of 16 teams.
Now by contrast the 14U group had a greater variance between the 24 teams. For example, Team A was rated 1st in Defense & 22nd in Offense, or Team B was 10th in Offense & 22nd in Defense. Even the top teams, for example Team C ranked 2nd in Defense and 8th in Offense. Or you can look at the 2 teams that made the Championship game, Team D was 1st in offense & 3rd in defense and Team E was 6th in offense & 4th in Defense. These numbers withen the numbers should give coaches a better idea of what each team needs to build on before Nationals or even during tryouts for the following year. Of course there are always extranuous variables that come in to play to produce such numbers.
