I think you can add the name of Kim Frank to the list of 2015 pitchers. Tara Trainer goes out for a few months rehabbing from her accident and in comes Kim from nowhere and helps lead Lebanon to another outstanding season. What a wonderful problem Lebanon's coach must have now that tara is on her way back....the rich get richer!

Lauren Powell from Springboro is another 2015 pitcher that deserves a nod. She has pitched 8 shutouts this season and threw a great game against Lebanon striking out their best HR hitter twice in Tuesday's game with a final score of 7-6 Lebanon. It was an excellent game to watch!

Thacker is OUTSTANDING , she seems to fly under the radar somewhat but to be honest she's the best I've seen in a couple years ... ( Have not seen Alvelo pitch in a couple years ) . She's a top level D1 recruit for sure .

I absolutely agree! I saw her pitch several games at the Prebis and was VERY impressed!

After seeing Shelby McCombs soph at Licking Valley twice this season, all I can say is glad they are leaving our league next season.

My Freshman DD's first varsity game was matched up with Licking Valley and Shelby, early in the year but I was very impressed. She can hit the ball a long way also. It was a good wake up for Mallory. Another very good pitcher Mal lost to last night is Annie Wennerberg from Avon Lake.

I was not questioning the kid's, talent, I've never seen her pitch. I was "scratching my head" over your marketing skills, choosing to through her name in the ring and highlighting a 7-6 loss. I hope she is a D1 prospect.
Scratch away, she is a D1 prospect

Wasn't "marketing" just giving her a compliment. If you know the history with Springboro softball, you would realize that a one run loss to Lebanon is a WIN for Springboro. They have a very strong team and it's nice to see an underdog compete. BTW I think you meant "throw".

After seeing the D2 pitching in the GLIAC this year, I can't imagine D1 pitchers in and around around OH being that much better.

I spent thurs watching 8 teams in the SEC tourney . There might be 1-2 pitchers in ohio that have a shot ( not a lock ) at pitching at that level. I stood behind their catchers watching them warm up. unreal. The kid from LSU that gave up 6-7 runs had an explosive rise-curve sorta thing that I cant fathom trying to hit. and she got rocked . Dont know how many times I saw 65-68 MPH heaters get PULLED foul . waaaay foul. speed is required but you better be packing a bunch more . MD

Annie is a good one. She can hit, too.

I agree MD. After watching a season of Sec softball, I would sat movement and the ability to hit your spots are much more important than speed. I have watched excellant pitchers get rocked. There are teams that can just flat out hit and the harder you throw the harder it comes nack at you.
