... There's a thread in here talking about terrible baserunning in college ballgames. Seems to me, if they learned the proper baserunning skills young... instead of the words for a cheer... they'd be better off :lmao:
The baserunning mistakes I saw were mostly at 3rd base, when the player had her back to the coach, and was in "no man's land". Ironically, I think the coaches were using voice commands (BACK, BACK, BACK!) when they got in trouble. Others were hesitations (lack of aggressive base running) that got them into trouble. And don't forget the bonehead mistakes the coaches were making - and they don't even know the cheers!
As the NCAA field gets whittled down, I think we'll see much less of those mistakes - AND better coaching. And of course - we'll see some of the BEST cheering that college ball has to offer!! :yahoo: Can't wait!!
