I just had to post this rant, Usually I just brush things like this aside but I feel I have to comment on this.

I have my nets set up in our warm up area. Not our warm up area per say, but the area OUTSIDE OF THE COMPLEX that all teams were using ALL WEEKEND. There were several areas like this outside of the complex as there was no room to warm up for pre game inside the complex. Not a problem.

The problem is parents from one team that feel like they should set up their tents, and have the mommy wagon ( no knock on lil red wagons, I have one also ) get together with the lil red wagons and the chairs, tents all set up RIGHT SMACK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE AREA WHERE THE GIRLS ARE WARMING UP! OK NO PROBLEM!

I ask the lady if she could just be aware of us as we are doing our pre game progressive throwing routine ( as we didn't want to ask them to move so we SQUEEZED IN ) and I don't want you to get hit. The reaction I get was ... "uuuuuh well we were here first " ??? Really????, Actually no you were not. But if you were , THIS IS WERE THE PLAYERS ARE WARMING UP..PLEASE MOVE! I would move in a heart beat, I definitely wouldn't get upset by it...I would NEVER set up for a picnic right in the middle of the area that the girls were OBVIOUSLY WARMING UP ALL WEEKEND, NOT JUST US, EVERYONE! So judging by this ladies reaction I guess I should have jerked the girls off of the area we had been warming up on all weekend and went somewhere else ( NOWHERE CLOSE ) or not warmed up at all so she could continue her pow wow!

The point I'm making is, please put the players first! If you have to take your picnic somewhere else to let the athletes warm up so be it. Many times there is limited space to begin with and the fact that someone would set up camp right smack in the middle of one of the warm up areas is puzzling to me, Then to be upset by us when we encroach on your space once again is puzzling!

It happens way too often. Up in Marion there isn't much room to warm up either and the little bit of grass we did find people started parking their cars on it. I felt bad for hitting a car with a ball that weekend but ill be honest, I told the girls not to be aftaid to be aggressive, if you hit a car they shouldn't have parked here!

When we were playing in Marion, I was surprised by how close the fields were to one another. A very nice complex, but the foul balls were flying everywhere. A bit of netting here and there could do wonders, says the person who doesn't have to pay the bill for it, of course.

I was recently sitting down the fence line watching my DD game when some Moms from the next game decided it was okay to put up there 10 by 10 pop up and block many of our views of the game. Guess who had to move to see the game! The worst part is they don't realize they are doing anything wrong.

That wasn't a problem??? Parents (including myself) parking lots are for in-between game pow-wows!
