Lebanon 5
Gahanna 4

Gahanna trails 3-1 early come back to lead 4-3 but Lebanon gets 2 to get the win. 5 Errors hurts the Lions.

N.C. Hoover 5
Hudson 0

Ten innings of intense softball. Finally wore down the Hudson starter in the tenth. Both teams had chances, but some clutch pitching denied scoring until Hoover broke it open in the top of the tenth.

Wow, to go into the 10th inning scoreless with the #1 team in the state in a reloading year, in a game between the last 2 consecutive D1 State Champs ....

Hudson had several golden opportunities to get the potential winning run in from 3rd with less than 2 outs, in the late innings. But Simpson and the Vikings rose to the occasion every time. Hoover had chances also. Whoever lost this game was destined to look back with some "what ifs" ... Too bad either team had to lose, lots of great pitching and clutch plays on some hard hit balls, both ways. Great year Explorers, will miss the seniors, but a lot of starters coming back next year!

Good luck to Hoover - finish this out strong and keep it in NE Ohio. Would be interesting to see Elyria get another shot, after finishing 2nd the past 2 years to Hoover & Hudson.

Springfield and St. Ursula today at 5 p.m. at Clyde H.S.
St.Ursula plays everybody tough and keeps wins within reach but Springfield has the capability of exploding offensively. Schultz for St. Ursila is a crafty pitcher, but Michalak is hitting her spots with confidence. What a great day for softball. Good Luck to both teams,..........but I'm pulling for the our NLL rivals to emerge victorious. Go Springfield !!!

Greenville is a very good, well coached, team but I bet there glad they don't play GMC teams day in and day out. Congradulations L. East.

timac4 with the schedule that Greenville plays as an independent it is equal to any in the state. The GMC is a nice conference and there is no doubt Greenville would look forward to playing any of those teams just about anytime. Maybe in the future we will see some of them at the Wendy's Classic or maybe the East of Chicago events.

Some of the teams that Greenville played this season:

Lebanon (twice)
Northmont
Youngstown Boardman (Champions Challenge)
Kenton Ridge
Bucyrus (East of Chicago)
Akron Manchester (Champions Challenge)
Col. Crawford (Champions Challenge)
Richmond Edison (East of Chicago)
Team from Alabama @ Wendys' Classic (Top ten NFCA team at that time)
Team from ILL @ Wendy's Classic (Top tem NFCA at that time)
Convoy Crestview

Ohio Wave - my DD played many many many times against the travel wave teams, over the past 2 years - The Wave PRIMARILY plays USSSA - i suggest you tell your coaches that if you guys want to get more exposure to the higher levels - start playing ASA tourneys. Sweeping in the USSSA is not impressive to college coaches.

That is the exact reason my DD left a team that played USSSA tourneys ever summer that is not the elite.

NOW don't get me wrong - the wave is a fantastic organization - but they need to raise the bar

:-? What does this have to do with HS ball. This would be a good topic on the general board. (not the Wave's schedule) just schedules in general.

I agree doesn't have anything to do with HS ball. Was a little surprised it took Ohiowave a long time to post. Usually right after a win a big tado about how the game went (your way). How about this one ?
Go EAST ! ;)
