It may be the fact they pitched to her after hitting a home run and possibly should have considered walking her...hind site maybe however most thought they should have walked her.

ouch, I could see if she played for a team that they never played before but these two teams play twice a year. Everyone knows that Schwaeble is one of the best hitters (if not the best) in the Cincinnati area. If in fact 1st base was open in that situation a BB should have been in order.

Darby advances to regional final behind shut out pitching of Kelli Roadabush. This is the result of a team getting better as the season goes on. They were not afraid to go out and play some tough non-league games.
Some coaches are more interested in posting a good winning percentage and padding their player’s stats. Sometimes improvement comes in losing to a tough team rather than padding your stat against weak teams. By challenging yourself against the best competition, win or lose you are better prepared to go out and compete.

Tonights Div. II regional in Bucyrus between Toledo Central Catholic and Keystone postponed after a 3 hour wait, until tomorrow at 5pm.

What side is saying that coaching cost the game? Coaching calls didn't have much to do with it. Schwaeble hit the first HR in the 2nd inning - I think it was the first (maybe second) hit she had against East all year. And in her career she has never hit one against East. At least not in the past 3 years. In her second at bat she struck out. It was 1-1 going into the bottom of the 6th. She did a great job on the pitch and dug it out from low inside to send it over left center. But it wasn't like the line shot she hit the first time. Looked like East left fielder was going to camp out under it on the warning track but it just kept sailing. It was a great game by both teams. Not to mention, East has been in at least 5 or 6 games where 3rd batter Lafferty was intentionally walked and then 4th batter Thompson did big time damage. Its how they won the district final as well. So even if Schwaeble was walked it doesn't mean the next girl (who I believe hurt East more this season at the plate than Schwaeble) won't get the big hit either. Good teams can't be pitched around. Sooner or later you have to play ball and yeah sometimes that means you might get beat.

And nobody even mentions Schwaeble's pitching performance. Had a perfect game against East going into the 5th inning. Kudos to her because she shut down some big hitters at the top of the line up. The one run came from the bottom of the line up.
