Marten fields needed mowed as well. Bathrooms were horrible. People were walking into woods to use the bathroom. Some didn't go back far enough. Full moons were shining from the woods. Blame was placed on others and I am not sure whose fault it was but you would think this tournament could have been run a whole lot better. Seen on another thread that a women tried to get kids to go in woods to help her find a 100.00 she lost. Thankfully these kids knew enough to go tell a parent. Phoenix can't help that situation but please be aware that this took place and keep your kids close by and inform them of this happening. It could happen at other tournaments as well. Stay safe! Good luck to all teams! Enjoy your kids to the fullest while they are young. You only get one chance.

Played on Martens Fields all weekend which were in alot better shape than a few years ago when my HS team played down there!

My only complaint was that most games were done way before sunset allowing plenty of time to get the fields ready. Whoever was in charge decided to wait until in the morning to drag and line the fields which caused some of the games to start late. Our first game on saturday was about to begin when they decided to come over and finally drag it. Then no one came over to line it and we played without any lines.

After the first games there was nothing else done the rest of the day on them. Huge holes in front of the pitching rubbers made it very hard for pitchers to throw consistently. Would like to see the foul lines run all the way out to the fences as well.

Umpiring was pretty decent all in all where we were at. Plenty of shade an warmup areas is a big plus, but more attention needs to be put on the field maintenence. If we would have had any rain this weekend I think they would have been in big trouble.

how about some help with scores on the 16u ?

And yes the fields that were across the street from Martens were like playing in a cow pasture. At least mow the pasture ! Or turn the goats loose if the cows are not eating well !

Martin's was OK , but the other is just not acceptable.

The negative comments posted here are exactly the complaints we had last weekend. We were lucky to be at the high school when the portajohn was cleaned, but heard that one at the pary on Cherry had not been cleaned all day on Saturday. Think staff was trying to run too big of a tournament. If you want people coming back you have to step it up. Couldn't believe the lack of concessions at sites other than Martens. Heard there were problems between the staff and the Lancaster Parks which could explain problems. At some point you have to accept responsibility for problems, blaming others simply makes you look bad.

Congrats to Sting on winning 12U.
