Queen of Diamonds north vs South

I know Kirt works hard on these so please no bashing.
My dd has attended the Queen of Diamonds North plus the Kent State camp
and we were very pleased. I want to hear from people who attended the Winthrop Camp and the Queen of Diamonds South last year. Were there as many scouts (yes I know about emailing coach's) but were there as many south as there were at the North? What about at the Winthrop Camp? I saw alot of scouts at the Kent camp. I would just like to hear from some some with experience at both. Thank you. Pro's and or cons but no Kirt Bashing. He works hard for these girls.

also since the format is different due to being outside... any helpful hints or anything in the area that was worth checking out... ?

My daughter and I went to the QDSS last year and loved it. We liked it a lot better due to it being outside. I think Kurt does a great job and there was plenty of scouts. My DD was contacted by several coaches that seen her at QDSS. We really liked the format and the coaches that were picked to coach the kid's. She really liked playing with and against some of the southern players we rarely see. I highly recommend attending this one.

I believe The North Applications are online now, but the South I believe to be full, as his teams are picked for that weekend and listed on kfastpitch.com. I think there still may be spots open for the Winthrop Camp portion only.

North was very good and that's why we went for the South and will experience that labor day weekend.

Qdss is alot nicer in my opinion,Only because it is run outdoors and Winthrop has a wonderfull athletic facility there.I believe there are four fields there and yes there are a lot of college coaches that attend.The clinics put on prior to the showcase games are a must,with full attendance from coaches too. They also have one of the premiere frisbee golf courses in the country right by the fields.A great atmoshere and Kirt does a tremendous job along with all his help! Just watch out for Kirt or two crazy kids riding the Segways around

This will be our first year at South. We are pleased with our responses from college coaches. I am wondering if this will be worth it for those wanting to attend college closer to home. The colleges showing interest in my daughter are in the southern states.

Hillarddad... dd has already been accepted I was just trying to get opinions to make sure we make the most out of the trip. Great responses from southern coach's. I was very curious about the camp part due to the great success of the Kent state camp. however it was hot inside early during the kent state camp and the pitcher's threw alot and I do not know if that had any impact on any of them and their success during the QDSN. ?I just wanted opinions on if the coach's were at the Winthrop Camp like they were at Kent's.

Great Mom! I would expect nothing less than the quality of the ladies and coaches in attendance as North had. Just praying for good weather to be able to do it outside. Mine is on Team 3 as a catcher and I believe teams 1-6 are alot of the Cup teams which we are excited to be going in January!
