Since mostDII,DIII and NAIA schools have considerably higher tuition cost than DI yes,the athletic/scholarship dollar and financial aid available at these schoolswill be much greater than DI.
However; take an Ohio NAIA school that has a 49K tuition and they give anathlete 30k the athlete is still responsible for 19K per year... So, more available money does not mean less expense.
As far as money for school ... one must also figure in room/board, books and parking that can easily exceed 10k over any tuition scholarship...
Lots of things to consider as parents/players look at the many offers from DI to NAIA....All have creative ways to help a student athlete. There are also several shell games....
