SANTEE, Calif. – The San Diego Christian Hawks defensive struggles contributed to a two-game sweep at the hands of the visiting Concordia – Portland Cavaliers.

Game 1

The Hawks dropped the first game of the doubleheader to the Cavaliers by a score of 7-1. Although the final result showed a large gap, the truth is that the game was much closer. Concordia did all of their scoring in the first and seventh innings with errors contributing to the prolonging of each. If not for the defensive miscues, pitcher Madison Bostick's tough pitching would have gotten them in the dugout quicker each time and the score would have been much closer.

Although San Diego Christian was only able to scratch out 1 run, the Hawks did put together seven hits in the game. Senior Joselle Nicolas, and freshman, Julianna Campusano led the Hawks batters by with each going 2 for 3.

Game 2

In what would be an abbreviated game due to run-rule, the Hawks got behind early and never built anything that would threaten the Concordia lead. Defensive errors once again contributed to a lopsided 11-1 scoreline in favor of the Cavaliers.

Campusano and Nicolas once again led the offense for the Hawks with each smashing a double in the final game of the doubleheader.
