A question for the 10 & 12u coaches/parents... Is your summer team still practicing in the spring as a team? Or is the coach not having any because of spring ball season?
I ask this because this is my DDs 1st year in travel ball (10u). Mine as well. Her team has only practiced 1 time since Halloween. It is a very well known org (@ least according to these boards & general chatter) I can only think this is because the coach feels like girls will get pract w/ her rec team? I have quest the coach & he only assures me "Well be fine". I am VERY nervous about what I will see on field this summer. People tell me to leave but I know I will not get $ back. So I just wanted to confirm what I suspected all along.(about all other teams pract)

I realize the question is about "team practice" - but the elephant in the room is... doesn't anybody believe in individual skill development? Outside of team practices, how many head over to an empty field and work on basic infield drills? Pitchers MUST work on their own to succeed - they don't have the rest of the team at every practice. Point is, to be on top of their game and ready for team practice, infielders and outfielders really should be working on their own - individually - when not with the team.

Our 14u team has practiced once during the week and 3-4 hours on the weekend all spring... very lucky, only 2 players affected by school ball restrictions... we are playing and scrimmaging all we can!
