Just out of curiosity, how do you determine age for travel ball? If a child turns 11 in August and tries out in August would they be 10u or 12u? If a child turns 12 in July and tries out in August would they try out for 12u or 14u?

It's not the age when you tryout ... its the age as of December 31 at the end of this year. So if your daughter is 11 or 12 as of 12/31/12, she is eligible for 12-U for next year.

Age is determined by the year you were born.

Next Year 2013

If you were born in 2002 you can play 10U
If you were born in 2000 you can play 12U
If you were born in 1998 you can play 14U
If you were born in 1996 you can play 16U
If you were born in 1994 you can play 18U
