I know of alot of people who got very sick with chest and head conjestion within 1 or 2 days from leaving the spano dome. Was wondering if and other 14u teams had the same problems with their players or parents. Most of the sick people were the parents and grand parents.

just wondering.....

It's definitely going around, but I don't think it can be blamed on the Spano Dome. We played the entire h.s. indoor league there and no one got sick, but now over the last 2 weeks lots of cold and flu symptoms both at our school and our house. I am getting the flu shot next year for sure.

Im not saying the place is infected. Just alot of people that weekend with 28 teams in a confined area with alot of mosture on the walls is a good breading area of germs.

A friend of mine was there in late January and about 3 days after his visit he became sick. he warned me that this might happened but I have been fine.

I've spent many weekends in the Spano Dome since November and haven't come down with any type of illness. I just think it may have been the "bug" going around this time of year.

'Don't know about 14U, but I imagine the coach who "lost" the coin toss for the playoff game in 16U still feels pretty lousy.....

We refer to it as "Spano Lung"!! Just got back from Spano last night and so far so good!! But last year we were all feeling terrible after that weekend. Look out for Spano Lung!!

Ok, I figured it out! psychologist keeps telling me I'm sick, I was at the Spanodome 6 years ago. I guess some parents have less tolerance for insanity and it only takes days.

Spano provides a nice facility for everyone to use/play on. They sure do take a lot of abuse here.

My kids go to school every fall and come home with a cold within 3 days. Maybe the parents who bring thier sick kids into the spano should be taking the beating here.

Geez!

Sick kid throw ball...

Other players touch ball...

See a pattern?

I'm thinking that at least for some of the posts you were missing the parody factor. Read in that light, there are as many posts lampooning the "sick building" claim as those advancing the claim.
