I got certified last year. Do I need to watch video and take/pay for test again? Thanks for any help.

Yes, you have to do this each year.

My ACE certification expired on 12/31/11 (I believe all of them expire on this date).

You will need to submit to the background check and then take the test. Each year the test is different as their are different levels of certification. For example: last year if you were a level one this year you will take the test for level two. My only suggestion is to take it soon to avoid any delays in receiving your cards. I had the "retake" blues too.. had to have them correct my log-in name, password, and setting for the prior years testing to not show up as needing to retake again. Once they did that, I was good. Found out after I started to retake the test... geesh

no problem... took me a bit to get the right contact. Saved and have shared it with several others. I'm sure many will need to be in touch with her for the website and software isn't very accurate. My guess is they are constantly making adjustments and helping people. Probably not making much money off the fees....:lmao::lmao:;&

How much does level 1 ace certification and background checks cost? and how long does it take to receive the cards once complete?

Background check without ACE course is $10. We just have Ted as Head Coach do the ACE certification and the Assistant Coaches do just the background check. We will continue to do that unless and until ASA says we have to fork over more money to do the ACE certification. Background check comes back in like 10 minutes. Print off the confirmation and take that with you to the tournament if your card hasn't arrived. I did the background check last Tuesday or Wednesday and my card arrived today.
