Those prices will put a real hurting on people. With diesel going up, everything else will to help off set the fuel surcharge companies will be paying.

Strohbro,
I fill up at Costco or Sams. They are usually $0.20 less than the locals.

It will also hurt the economy coming back. Seems like everything is going up except the paycheck...

It makes me sick on how these prices are skyrocketing. Wonder when the networks will be on this.

Our government doesn't give a damn or else you would see them doing something about it or at least making an attempt.

The pres. actually made a statement that he would like to see gas prices get higher. That way people would invest money into alternative fuels. Gas is exspected to get to 5 bucks this summer. If so this will hurt some travel softball families. We will see carpooling to tournaments or some moms and dads just not going. As they will be sending dd with another parent or coach. This might be a little far fetched, but could happen!!!

I did see an fox news article this afternoon showing that More oil drilling permits have been issued since Jan. 1 2011 than in the last 4 years.

All drilling permits have been re-opened as of a few months ago and 50 new shallow water wells have been ok'd in the U.S. waters as well as 15 new well permits in Montana and North Dakota.

I don't think we can drill our way out of this mess, but all the new drilling is a good start. Can't hurt I guess.

$4.04 in Portsmouth...4.00 in waverly....i told the wife with me driving to and from downtown columbus im going to get a decal that reads ....DEPOSIT CHECK HERE....with an arrow pointing toward gas door......killin me!!!!
I do feal sorry for the folks who drive diesel but that is a sham...taking the bi-product of gasoline and driving the price up with one simple screaning process is crazy.
Im telling ya it hits 5 a gallon its going to be rough to make all the tournys this year for family anyway.

The whole basing the price of crude on the trading market and not the true supply and demand numbers is really making my head swim...somebody let me in on the real reason for this ****.

There is enough oil in the gulf between Miss. and La. to slow imports big time. They just cant get the ok to drill.

I think it is more our weak dollar than anything--usage is down and supplies are up.

The U.S. just owes too much money--gotta hope the crditors don't call it in.

Me too. Did hear on radio that they were also re-opening all wells in the gulf as long as they could "prove" safety valves were in place which is a no-brainer.

Watching CNN right now, just said U.S. production has been at full capacity since Feb. 1.
