I'm in disbelief that this game was played on that field. they wouldn't do that to a good rec ball championship.
SoCal-- I know you are really knowledgeable about Premier , isn't there some connection between National Pro Fastpitch and Premier Girls Fastpitch ?
Is it just coincidence that the Chicago team is the Bandits and the Beverly team is also the Bandits.
Or is there quite a bit of intermingling of people in NPF and PGF ?
Speaking of the Beverly Bandits - what's with them naming a wife beater as an honorary coach of a girl's softball team?
Fmr. Heavy Weight Champ, Mike Tyson, named honorary coach

Joining the team for the flight from Las Vegas to Chicago, former heavy weight boxing champion and new Bandits honorary coach, Mike Tyson, took time for a few pictures in the terminal after landing. Holding the team's trophy, he was heard to say, "this is so cool". Thanks champ, the girls thought it was pretty cool too.
Getting back on topic . . . I cringed when I saw they were playing on that field. But if I'm not mistaken, the Pride has been using that baseball field for all its games this summer. I resigned myself to it, believing it was one of the concessions that had to be made when a pro league is trying to establish itself. But still, it looked demeaning.
Sanctioning has zero to do with field surface. ASA tournaments are at Berliner. Turf is definately a faster game.
It's weird looking but so what. If the fields are flat and gives a true bounce then what's the big deal other than, "It's not how it's supposed to be." What will you all do in Berliner when all their fields are turfed. I'm sure some of you already played on turf over there. I prefer dirt over grass or turf but I certainly prefer turf after two inches of rain.
The four turf fields at Berliner were just added in the past year. The satellite photo must predate that.
