Bob and Mike did a great job getting this tournament complete with all the rain on Saturday and Sunday Morning. The fields held up good and the crew worked hard to make them playable - Thanks!

How did the other parks do in Cincinnati this weekend?? It will be interesting to hear!

Lefferson Park in Middletown (SDS's digs) held the rain extremelly well, much better than anyone thought possible. We were able to play all day Saturday up until the 8pm games. Then of course we played all day Sunday with no field issues at all. The SDS crew must have worked their tails off to get the fields ready for Sunday after a full night's rain, b/c the fields were in great shape at 8am Sunday. Great job Expressway and SDS!

Any news on how things went at Tealtown after last years nightmare or how Rivershore held up?

NSA states are now up North and not in Tealtown anymore.

Yes, Middletown fields can take the rain as I stood in it for 5 hrs plus. Never dreamed the games would be on time on Sunday...lol Had to rush to get there on Sunday. No breaks for the wicked.

You ain't kidding... Chris, and Gregg must have REALLY busted their buns to get those fields dragged and lined before the gates opened. I actually thought the fields played BETTER than Saturday, since there was a little moisture in the soil to buffer the dust that we saw Saturday. That sun really baked the fields Sunday, tho. By early afternoon, they were back to being bone dry. I guess that's better than being soaked. :yahoo:

Thanks for the kudo's in regards to Lefferson Park in Middletown. SDS has worked hard getting the fields leveled and in shape to hold water and drain well. When we took over the park in April, all of the drains were filled with dirt. The walking areas flooded everytime there was a rain. We worked and laid new drainage pipes and it takes quite a bit to cancell. We hope this feature will draw more teams to the park!
